Summer Tennis Season:  May through October with limited hours after September 1
Summer Tennis Hours:  Everyday, 8:00 a.m. to Sundown
                                                           
The tennis courts at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club at 134 McKay Street in Beverly are under new management for 2007.  The management and tennis professionals of the Bass River Tennis Club are pleased to be running all staffing, maintenance and programming operations for these fine outdoor clay courts.  Bass River Tennis Club of 31 Tozer Road has been in operation since 1971 and boasts an exceptional indoor facility.  We are pleased to bring our expertise to the outdoor courts at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club.  Some advantages and added value we plan to provide include:

• “Rain or Shine” Benefit!  If courts at Beverly Golf & Tennis are unplayable due to weather and you are signed up as an “Unlimited Player” at BG&T, then you may book a court at the Bass River Tennis Club at their member court rate of just $24 per hour with no guest fees. “Pay As You Go” players may also play at BRTC but, will pay a $5 guest fee per person on top of the court fees.  Please see our Court Fee Options sheet for more info.
• Affordable payment options to meet a variety of needs.  Please see read on for our Court Fee Options for more details.
• Professional, ongoing maintenance of the courts keeping them watered, rolled and ready for play.
• A state-of-the-art online court booking system that allows “unlimited” players to book courts online, at their convenience.
• Beginner to advanced level programming for children, adults and seniors.
• Professionally run USTA tournaments.
• Special social functions throughout the summer including our Open House and Tennis Block Party in June.

Summer Instruction:
We offer excellent instruction for all ages and levels throughout the summer months.  Morning summer Junior Programs, including the Beverly Town Recreation Program, for children 3-15 years are available Monday through Friday each week starting June 25th.  This program is run by our Tennis Director, John Waugh. Our summer staff is eager to help you fulfill your tennis goals.  Please call today to set up a lesson!

Tennis Pro Shop:
We provide a well-stocked tennis pro shop to meet all of your tennis needs including racquets, tennis balls, socks, headbands, wristbands, overgrips and vibration dampeners. Have your racquet custom strung by one of our professional, certified racquet stringers, often in 24 hours or less!  They will suggest an array of racquet accessories including the perfect set of strings.  A wide variety awaits you from Wilson, Prince & Head.

Tennis Etiquette:
Proper tennis shoes required.  No running shoes allowed.  Please allow 5 minutes at the end of your time to brush the court and sweep the lines.  Please move quickly and quietly to your court and only between points.

• Pay once (prices listed above) and play unlimited tennis all summer long at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club!   A maximum of 2 hours per day per person may be booked.  Additional time allowed if available. 
• If courts at BG&T are unplayable due to weather and you are signed up as an “Unlimited Player” at BG&T, then you may book a court at the Bass River Tennis Club at their member court rate of just $12 per person, per hour for singles or just $9.00 per person, per one and a half hours of doubles. 
• Unlimited Players will be extended the convenience and privilege of booking tennis courts our online booking system.
• Only a limited number of “Unlimited Play” tennis packages will be sold.  First come, first serve.
• No membership fees are required for any of the unlimited play tennis packages listed below.
• Unlimited play tennis runs for the entire 2007 outdoor tennis season.  Time frame is generally from May – October, but will be somewhat limited after September 1st.
• Unlimited play tennis only covers your portion of the court time.  All other players without unlimited play will pay based on the “Pay As You Go” court rates of $24 per court hour.
• Instruction, round robins, tournaments and programmed play are not included in your unlimited play fee.
• Booking and cancellation policies will be enforced.  You may book a court 4 days in advance (the current day, plus 3 more).  Charges will be levied for canceling with less than 12 hours notice or “no showing”.  Please be considerate of your fellow unlimited tennis players.
• Simply complete the application below and submit payment.  Please make check payable to Bass River Tennis Club.  Sorry, Unlimited Play tennis cannot be charged to a BRTC account.  Only cash, check or credit card accepted. 
• Unlimited Play tennis fee is not retroactive and cannot be pro-rated.  Absolutely no refunds.
• Kindly book your tennis court a minimum of 3 hours before play so we may prepare your court.

• Court rate is just $24 per court hour.
• No membership required.  No guest fees to play at BG&T.
• Kindly book your court a minimum of 3 hours before play so that we may prepare your court.
• You may book a court 4 days in advance (the current day, plus 3 more).  12 hour notice of cancellation required to avoid a charge.
• We regret that online court booking privileges cannot be extended to PAYG players.
• If BG&T courts are unavailable due to weather conditions, courts may be booked for the same price of $24 per court hour plus a $5 per person guest fee at the Bass River Tennis Club at 31 Tozer Road in Beverly.

PARTICIPANT RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to use the facilities of the Bass River Tennis Corporation (“BRTC”), and to participate in any activities or programs sponsored by BRTC, I, the undersigned (“Participant”), acknowledge and agree:

• The Participant acknowledges the potential risk of injury from the use of the facilities and the programs provided by BRTC, including paralysis and death, being present.
• With full knowledge, the Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the fault or omission of BRTC or others, and assumes all responsibilities arising out of the activities or events at BRTC.
• The Participant agrees to follow all rules or requests of the BRTC, its employees, agents or servants.  The Participant agrees to stop any activity and immediately inform BRTC or its representative of any potentially hazardous situation.
• The Participant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, successors, or assigns hereby releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless, BRTC, its owners, employees, agents or servants, (“RESEASEES”) from any and all damages, losses, or liability that may be suffered by the Participant arising out of the use of the facilities of, and the programs available at BRTC by the Participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

THE PARTICIPANT HAS READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTANDS ITS TERMS.  THE PARTICIPANT UNDERSTANDS THAT IF HE/SHE DESIRES OR WISHES TO, HE/SHE SHOULD SEEK INDEPENDENT LEGAL ADVICE REGARDING THIS DOCUMENT.
